Global AAC
Global AAC’s mission is to bring speech-generating devices, also known as AAC devices, to people who cannot afford this technology in developing countries. These devices enable people with severe communication disorders such as cerebral palsy and ALS. By building a partnership with technology companies in the United States, we transport and train these devices to enable other areas of the globe to explore possibilities.

school year of core
The School Year of Core Words series was conceptualized and created by Nika Board Member Michaela Sullivan, and two pre-professional SLP students, Beth Lytle and Alisa Lego. The series has two levels of monthly vocabulary words along with ideas, resources, and materials to provide a framework for implementing augmentative communication throughout the year. Every growing, it has now been adapted for Spanish speaking countries and continues to grow!
